The South School
Renovation Project
In 2016 Fairfield Community Health Center purchased the former South Elementary School in Lancaster for $25,000 with the hopes of renovating the 27,000+ square foot interior and transform it into a state-of-the-art community health center.

Since 1930 the South School, located at 220 E. Walnut Street, has been a place of hope, growth, and progress for all who graced it's halls. For 85 years thousands of students and hundreds of staff members made lasting memories in this building.

Fairfield Community Health Center is honored to add another chapter to the historic South School legacy. By preserving the historic exterior we are ensuring the historic beauty can be enjoyed for generations to come.
The project will revolutionize healthcare in and around Fairfield County.
-
We will be able to offer all of our services and specialties in one location for the first time.
-
We will be able to expand our Primary and Behavioral health care teams, increasing the impact we make in the community.
-
We will add jobs in our community as we continually grow to meet the needs of our patients.

For five years our organization raised money from private donations, corporate partnerships, and various fundraising events to fund the renovation. Every single contribution has put us one step closer to accomplishing our goal.

Simply put - we could not have done it without your unwavering support.
Renovations are Underway!
